Miranda IM auf mehreren Rechnern nutzen
Vor nunmehr zwei Jahren bin ich nach langer Suche nach einem Client von ICQ 2003b auf Miranda umgestiegen, der eine oder andere Mitleser erinnert sich vielleicht.
Da ich allerdings ein Erinnerungsvermögen habe das so grob von zwölf bis mittags reicht, bin ich eine große Freundin davon, Verläufe zu speichern. So weit, so gut. Aber bisher habe ich aus dem Grund Miranda nicht unterwegs genutzt, weil ich die Verläufe von Laptop und Deskop-PC nicht zusammenführen konnte. Jetzt allerdings habe ich mich mal hingesetzt und recherchiert und getestet und das ganze zum Laufen bekommen. Wie? Mit dem MContacts Plugin. Damit kann ich auf meinem Laptop im Anschluss an ein wichtiges Gespräch den Kontakt rechtsklicken, „Export contact history“ anwählen und die Teilhistorie speichern, um sie dann beim Desktop-PC wieder zu importieren. Fein.
Aktueller Plugin-Stand bei Miranda lautet wie folgt:
- History++ – Zum schöneren Anzeigen der History.
- MContacts Plugin – Historien ex- und importieren.
- MirandaG15 – Damit kann ich nebenbei auf dem Display meiner Logitech-G15-Tastatur chatten, während ich spiele oder der Monitor anderweitig gerade voll ist.
- TabSRMM – Damit kann man das Nachrichtenfenster seinen eigenen Vorstellungen anpassen.
- SmileyAdd – Damit kann ich Smiliegrafiken im Chatfenster sehen und einzelnen Chatprotokollen einzelne Smiliesets zuweisen. ICQ-Smilies für ICQ-Kontakte und lustige andere Smilies für AIM-Kontakte, beispielsweise.

The point is they’re trying to tell you they know better than you about their issues and you know that’s just plain wrong. How could you be wrong?
Don’t worry though! There IS something you can do to nip this potentially awkward and embarrassing situation in the bud. By simply derailing the conversation, dismissing their opinion as false and ridiculing their experience you can be sure that they continue to be marginalised and unheard and you can continue to look like the expert you know you really are, deep down inside!
