Immobility is never the best solution. Because everything around us changes (including love) and we must accompany that rhythm.

Heute bei der Lektüre von The Escapist: Shamus plays LotRO laut gelacht:

Anyway, instead of the standard MMOG exclamation mark this game uses a flaming ring as the symbol for „This bloke has a quest for you, why don’t you chat him up?“ Not just any ring, but the icon is obviously The One Ring. The single most evil object in the history of the entire world. This is like using a pentagram containing a flaming swastika made of horned skulls as the universal symbol for „help wanted.“

Their pianos were conjoined, their faces were smudged with charcoal, and I nearly peed myself as they sang “Speechless” and “Your Song.” Perhaps her vast popularity with the gays extended to the Grammy nominating committee and scored her the first two awards of her career.

Der Wolfsmond dieses Wochenende war wirklich wunderschön, kein Wunder also, dass sogar fiktive Charaktere von ihm berichten. Und weil der Begriff in Deutschland nicht so bekannt ist, zitiere ich mal die englische Wikipedia:

Prop 8 Trial

… ich finde, die Zeit, in der man noch Verständnis für Homophobie und ähnliches haben mußte, ist vorbei. Ich erwarte von jedem mündigen Bürger, am allzeit verfügbaren Allgemeinwissen teilzunehmen …

Was da gerade auf der anderen Seite des großen Teiches passiert macht mir irgendwie ein wenig Angst. Bei emptywheel wird live vom Prop 8 Trial gebloggt und das mitlesen macht wirklich keinen Spaß. Unglaublich, dass es keinen Broadcast des Trials gibt, weil die Prop-8-Befürworter das nicht wollen. Warum? Gute Frage. Vielleicht ist es total okay, homophoben Unsinn im Gericht zu erzählen, aber trotzdem etwas unangenehm, wenn der genaue Wortlaut an die Öffentlichkeit dringt?
Ich drücke die Daumen, dass das gut geht und der Richter sich für die Gleichheit der Menschen ausspricht. Nicht zuletzt, weil T. mittlerweile mit einer Amerikanerin verlobt ist und ich ihr wünsche, dass das alles problemlos hinhaut.
